MANNAM: international Student interview

When we had an MANNAM international party, there was a good voice and fluent speaking in English MC. I asked my friend, “Who is he?” ” Alex is a young prospective man from China”, she said.

Nowadays, the number of international students has been increasing in Korea universities. I am wondering how the other countries students handle with peace. In China, with the increase in economic, how peace matter is important among young generation?

Q: Alex! You seems smart. I’m curious what you want to be in the future.

A: Oh, that’s not true. I want to be a professor of civil engineering in Korea or Singapore.

Q: As a student, what have you done for peace?

A: Personally? I’ve given up my selfish idea and shamefully, I’ve not done that much for peace, I think. In this year, participating in Peace Walk with MANNAM international was my first try for peace. At that time, it was so hot and hard to stand under the sun. After that day, I was surprised to the reports of Peace Walk on the news. So I got started to have more interests on it now.

Q: Do you think PEACE IS POSSIBLE?

A: yes, Peace is possible, but it takes long time.

Q: What do you think what should we do for World peace?

A: For first step, we need to extend education about peace since we’re young. If we were educated since we are young, we could be messengers of peace. Plus, we should have more volunteering work in other countries which have no opportunity of education.

Now, he is planning to move to the other city in Korea. But, he promised he will go on volunteer work with MANNAM!! Wherever you go, we are connected through MANNAM.

In MANNAM Volunteer Association, there are more than 80,00 members around the world and this number is still growing day by day. MANNAM Int'L branches are located across continents. Then, you might ask why there are so many people support and do volunteer work with MANNAM?

What is the merit of MANNAM volunteer association?

In MANNAM International, there is a free Korean class which is run by pure hearts of volunteers.

There is a Victory Cup that units people around world through playing sports.

MANNAM also hold cultural festival and events annually on a national and worldwide scale.

It is to promote many people's passion on peace, to understand the cultural difference and to share the beautiful characteristic of each counties.

Of course, as a volunteer association, you can volunteer in MANNAM.

There's no political, religious activities in MANNAM, so you could purely do volunteers work regardless of religion, political ideology and race differences.

MANNAM also supports world peace.

You can participate various culture exchange class to learn more about your friends from another country. Each member of MANNAM International came all over the place, and work together to help people and environment regardless where they came from.

When I came Korea before 4 months ago, I feel very difficult to live here because of language problem and many more. But when I met MANNAM groups, I get opportunity to know about Korean language, culture and other so many things. Now I’m improving Korean language slowly. So many many thanks to MANNAM. I like MANNAM. And about last Sunday, yes it’s really great!!! That moment was so joyful and memorable. I will always keep that wonderful day in my memory. I’m very happy to meet such nice MANNAM people. I hope you will always keep in touch with us.  I miss all of you friends.

내가 4달 전 처음 한국에 왔을 때, 언어문제와 다른 문제들로 사는데 어려움을 겪었었다. 하지만 MANNAM을 만났을 고, 한국어와, 한국문화 그리고 다른 많은 것들을 알게 되는 기회를 얻었고, 지금은 한국어실력이 천천히 늘고 있다. MANNAM에 정말 너무 감사한다. 또한 지난 일요일은 정말 멋진 날이었다. 정말 즐거웠고 기억에 남을 경험 이였다. 나는 그 멋진 날을 항상 기억할 것이다. 나는 MANNAM의 좋은 사람들을 만나게 되어 너무 행복하다. 그리고 우리가 연락하며 지냈으면 좋겠다. (MANNAM 의) 친구들이 너무 그립다.
