 Hello dear MANNAM Friends! How's the place where you live? Is it safe there? Are you happy with your life? Is it your life joyful? Or are you in sadness or sorrow? Don’t you want to live in a world that is safe, and which is full of happiness? The place where birds sing and where the sound of nature is breathing. If the world becomes like thatm then we would call it “Beautiful World.” Connie Talbot made our hopeful desire for world peace into a song to represent our thoughts.

With her beautiful but strong voice, Connie Talbot sang a beautiful song, with a beautiful voice.

 A “peace song” is not a peace song, because there is the word “peace” inside. A peace song is a song that makes you happy and so it makes you want to share this feeling with others. “Beautiful Song” sang by Connie is a peace song for me. Where people can follow someone, to be happy, that can do a big job to the world. And in the end peace can come so soon. In MANNAM Volunteer Association, you can meet people who can lead you the way for peace. It doesn’t show much to the world, but still, it has power to control it. I can learn many things in MANNAM. From the people in MANNAM Volunteer Association, we have lots to learn about them. Different with the other Volunteer Associations, MANNAM have heart and passion for Volunteering. And MANNAM does a job once and for all. Beautiful world is started by MANNAM. It is in MANNAM.

 MANNAM Volunteer Association is a place where people can join and do volunteer work. It doesn’t matter if you are from another country or have a different culture. You only need a heart to help others who needs that kind of love. Even though you have a different job, style, taste, it doesn’t matter. We can help other who needs help by our abilities. A doctor can volunteer in MANNAM by helping others who need his hands. A dancer can make the elder’s or the children happy by his performance. A singer can make a song to unite all the peoples mind into one or can make them believe world peace achieve by themselves. This is what the musicians did in 1985.

 “We are the world” is a song written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, produced by Quincy Jones, recorded by popular musicians to raise funds to help famine-relief efforts on Ethiopia which experienced unusual drought in 1985.

 Even though their music styles and thoughts are different in music, they became one with the hope for peace around the world. To help the people in Africa suffering, over 45 musicians gathered to sing the song for help. Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Kenny Rogers, James Ingram, Tina Turner, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Dionne Warwick, Willie Nelson, Al Jarreau, Bruce Springsteen, Kenny Loggins, Steve perry, Darlyl Hall, Huey Lewis, Cyndi Lauper, Kim Carnes, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles and many others are the people who joined this video clip.

Like the lyrics, we are the world and the ones who can change the future. When this music came out, some of the people could have though what differences can a song in the public. But with this song, people got hope and love to peace. Likewise, the things that we do to help others can look like small thing besides the whole world, but that is the key and the start for a big thing. If there is a song, that all the people around the world can sing, that would be the song for peace. It is a magical song which can have the power to change the world. Who could make that song? Not with lyrics, not with musical notes. It is made by us. Our little act, like volunteer work, helping others and sharing love can make this song that we are wishing for. Can you Imagine how beautiful the word and melody in that song would make?

Making peace by your fingers, in the heads there are words for you, and in heart there is love which that I want to share.

 These are the things that we can do easily and simply. Peace is not a far thing for us. It can be started with our little act. Shake a person’s hand that you don’t know and be friends with him. That is a start. Speak the sweet words that are in your mind. Share you love and heart by caring each other. With all of these acts, peace is already here with us.
